Battery Sorting at Our Location in Offenbach am Main

Sorting of the batteries is primarily performed manually by our experienced personnel, who undergo constant training. We handle a typical mixture of household batteries which, in addition to nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, lithium, lead and mercury batteries, mainly includes alkaline-manganese and zinc-carbon batteries. Our customers are battery return systems and battery manufacturers from Germany and other countries, whom we can offer a total capacity of approximately 5,000 tons per year, thanks to continuous expansion of capacity at our location in Offenbach am Main. By connecting the material streams, we have been able to achieve both high-quality recycling and maximum cost reduction for our customers.

Battery Sorting at Our Location in Bremerhaven

The unique proprietary sorting process of REDUX Technology GmbH was developed from 1996 to 2001 by Bremer Sonderabfall-Beratungsgesellschaft mbH.

Through the use of X-ray technology, automated sorting is able to sort up to 30 batteries per second with an accuracy of 99%. A capacity of 12,000 tons per year is thus achieved. In addition, the technology now makes it possible to identify batteries that previously were considered unidentifiable and to send them to the appropriate recycling path.
